CALL FOR PAPERS
All papers for presentation must be sent to the conference e-mail address: int.congress@cclpworldwide.com, following the instructions below;
Papers should be sent in the form of an abstract. The Congress Technical Committee, in collaboration with the Organizing Committee of the congress, will evaluate the papers, taking into account, among others, the following criteria:
· Papers should be in line with the issues proposed in the thematic lines of the call for papers;
· The originality of the proposal;
· They should reflect current research activities or good practices, which are being carried out or which have just been completed;
· The time limits for presentation of the papers during the conference and within the same thematic line.
Once evaluated, the authors of the accepted proposals should send the full text of the paper, according to the instructions to be received by e-mail and the calendar of this call.
Please note that selected papers will be presented during the 1st Annual Congress on Higher Education in June 2010 (Nigeria 2010). The authors will not pay any conference fees. All the selected material will form part of the official contents of the conference and will be published in electronic version by the International Secretariat of CCLP Worldwide.
Following these instructions, we hope to receive proposals within the deadlines and which comply with the rules of presentation for papers and abstracts.
Calendar
These are the key dates for the call for and the presentation of papers at the 1st Annual Congress on Higher Education;
· 29th March 2010: Open period to send in papers
· 15th May 2010: Deadline to send abstract proposals
· 25th May 2010: Communication by the Technical Committee to the selected authors
· 5th June 2010: Send the final version of the full paper
· June 2010: Presentation of the paper at the 1st Annual International Congress on Higher Education
Submission rules
Both the papers proposal and the complete papers must follow some submission and presentation rules that are explained below. Anyone wanting to participate in this call for papers is asked to read carefully and follow these rules.
A. ABSTRACTS
· The evaluation of the papers will be carried out on the basis of abstracts. That is why we request detailed abstracts, which can also include an index proposal. The abstracts should count a minimum of 800 words and maximum of 1200.
· Abstracts can only be presented in English and the recommended language, and in which the presentation will be carried out, is English.
· Abstracts should be sent in by 15th May 2010.
· We only accept abstracts sent by e-mail and having the standard format, to int.congress@cclpworldwide.com and communication to the selected authors will be done by e-mail by 25th May 2010.
B. PAPERS
· The texts have to be original and unpublished.
· This call looks for research and good practice papers. Its maximum length should be between 3000 and 5000 words, including the notes and bibliography.
· Papers should be written in English.
· The final version of the text should be delivered by 5th June 2010 for electronic publication by CCLP WORLDWIDE.
· If not stated otherwise by the author, the paper will have a Creative Commons license, which allows free circulation of the contents, if the source and authors are quoted.
C. FORMAL INDICATIONS (PAPERS AND ABSTRACT)
· RTF (Rich Text Format), DOC (Microsoft Word) o ODT (Open Office 2.0) type documents.
· Typography Times New Roman 12 or Arial 12.
· Interline: 1,5
· Page borders: 3 centimeters for all four sides.
· Quotations: those with more than three lines should be presented in an independent paragraph, with simple interline and completely indented.
· References within the text: We recommend using the references within the text, between brackets, indicating surname of the author, year and pages of reference. For example: (AUTHOR, 1997: 101) or (AUTHOR & AUTHOR: 1997: 101-105).
· Notes on the bottom of the page should only be used in the case of quotations that add more information or commentaries about a specific reference.
· Bibliographic references at the end of the paper: They should be listed in alphabetical order and titled “Bibliography”. Examples (please note the punctuation. The volume or number in case of a journal, the editor and place of publication in case of books should always be included):
